2008 INTRO LEADERS

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Friday Feb 15th
North Georgia College and State University seeks to employ as INTRO Leaders who can best represent the total program of the University. Desirable qualities include: leadership, sensitivity, enthusiasm, honesty, the ability to meet new people, a genuine interest in North Georgia College and State University and its programs, ability to relate well with peers and a willingness to devote time and energy to the orientation program. Knowledge of the Student Handbook, College Catalog and campus facilities are a must. (Ability to leap tall buildings in a single bound and to walk on water is desirable but not required.)
The INTRO Leader is, in essence, the student orientation facilitator. Each INTRO Leader will be assigned a group of new students and it will be his/her responsibility to mold this group into a team, insuring that all team members participate in available activities and that individual problems/questions receive the appropriate attention. The INTRO Leader serves as a guide, counselor, facilitator, friend, confidant, example or reference person, and at times, all of these.
The position of INTRO Leader provides the opportunity to make significant contributions to the education and experience of new students as well as contributing to oneís own educational experience.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
1. Completed a minimum of two semesters at NGCSU.
2. Minimum 2.3 grade point average ñ Cumulative.
3. Evidence of maturity, leadership, and a concern for the success for others who are seeking a good education.
4. May not be on academic or disciplinary probation.
5. Must be enrolled during the fall semester, 2008.
